Based on the Sunshine Coast, we’re a small team of passionate designers and jewellers creating fine jewellery that reflects your individuality. Our approach is simple yet rare in the industry: we listen. Every ring, necklace, or bracelet begins with your vision - and together, we bring it to life.
The name “Blue Duck” comes from our beloved dog Zig’s favourite companion, a cherished toy she never goes without. It brings her comfort and endless joy. That’s exactly what we aim to create for you: your own Blue Duck. The ring you reach for every morning. The necklace that feels like “you.” The heirloom your grandchildren will one day treasure.

Unlike chain jewellers, we’re employee-owned, so your investment supports local craftsmanship and our Sunshine Coast community. We use certified recycled metals and offer both ethically mined natural and lab-grown diamonds empowering you to choose what aligns with your values.
Most importantly, we prioritise listening over selling. There’s no pressure toward inventory, no judgment about budget, only open collaboration, transparent pricing, and skilled craftsmanship at every step.

From Underwoods to Blue Duck
If we look familiar, it’s because we are! Formerly known as Underwoods Fine Jewellers, our team proudly took ownership of the business in late 2024 and reimagined it as Blue Duck Jewellers. Since 1996, Underwoods has been the Sunshine Coast’s trusted destination for custom and fine jewellery and that legacy continues under a new name, guided by the same people who helped build it. Now, as an employee-owned studio, that legacy continues with even deeper pride and purpose.
You’ll still find the same friendly faces you’ve trusted for years (plus a few wonderful new ones), bringing together 79 years of shared Underwoods experience. Different name, same dedication and an even stronger commitment to creating jewellery you’ll love for a lifetime.
